Crosstour EX-L W/Navi 3.2L V6

  • Automatic transmission
  • 2,000 miles

I leased this car to be USED! I had a 1993 Honda Civic EX and put 144k miles on it without a hitch so felt I was coming back to a brand I could trust. I travel a lot and spend hours/days in my car. When I tried out the car I sat in it for about a half hour with no problems. On some longer trips (2 hours) I started to feel slight discomfort in my low back. After a 3500 mile trip I was crippled and almost couldn't make it home. I also own another vehicle but wanted to get something that was also 4WD but better on gas mileage. The other vehicle is a Ford Super Duty F-350, Single Rear Wheel. I can drive that for 18 hours straight and not feel any adverse affects on my back. My fiance has an older Ford Explorer that I also can drive for extended distances with no ill effects. So the problem lies with the Crosstour itself and it's seats. My dealer has been sympathetic to the issue and allowed me to drive a Pilot for four hours and it still bothered my back. My dealer also has a Nissan dealership and I took a 2013 Pathfinder (another good vehicle I used to own) for a 2 1/2 hour ride and it was much better. Their new seats are designed by NASA and are like a memory foam that supported my back throughout the entire drive. I felt better when I got out then when I got in. Check it out if You haven't already. I have also been working with a local upholsterer who has devised a set of pads that make it better, but I am still EXTREMELY uncomfortable while driving the Crosstour. Plus, the pads position me so that my head can almost touch the ceiling and I feel very unstable while propped up on them. I will probably see about getting out of my lease ASAP because I can't afford to be crippled or pay for the Chiropractor for the rest of my life. I'm in the business of body awareness and Therapeutic Therapy and feel foolish for not recognizing the seats for what they were. I would LOVE to talk with Honda and help them design a seat that EVERYONE can use. Very disappointed in Honda and their apparent lack of concern about this HUGE issue. Shame on You HONDA-I thought You really did care! Unless You fix Your seats, it will be the last Honda I ever have!

Crosstour EX V6

  • Automatic transmission
  • 200 miles

Horrible horrible seats, both drivers' and passengers' sides. Every time I get out of the car my back REALLY hurts. I am glad to know that it is not just me who is having this problem and I can't find a good inflatable whole seat cushion to help. I found this site while searching for something to help. I had thought about trading the car in but now I know that it wouldn't help! Thank you all for your comment which saved me a lot of trouble. And NO thanks to Honda for ruining their reputation because my 2005 Accord was great.

Crosstour ES 3.2L V6

  • Automatic transmission
  • 20,000 miles

I bought my first Honda (Crosstour) ever because of its appealing AWD and fuel efficiency. Ever since I bought it I've been having severe low back pains going down my right leg. A couple of weeks ago, I was diagnosed with some thing called ischial bursitis (painful buttock bone). I didn't know it until my wife drove the car for a few days and then my athletic son. They both complained of terrible back pains and stiffness.

I called my Honda dealer, they pretended they didn't know what I was talking about. They promised to have someone call me in a couple of days (that was a month ago), but so far I have not heard from them.

I simply can't live with this awful pain. I will be trading in my car for a AWD Charger instead. With that, I will some money, but I would rather do that than spend it on doctors.

This should be my first and my last Honda....
