problem #2

Crosstour LX 3.2L V6

  • Automatic transmission
  • 23,000 miles

Transmission is slow to go into reverse. Have to rev engine before trans engages into reverse. I think this is a safety hazard, because when the transmission engages into reverse it lurches backwards fast and anyone standing or crossing behind car could get run over.

Crosstour EX=L V4

  • Automatic transmission
  • 2,000 miles

Initially I was very excited about the car as it is beautiful. Then my husband and I started noticing the transmission was hesitating when accelerating to move into moving traffic. At first we both thought we might be doing something wrong. Then we began to be more concerned as we found ourselves in dangerous situations.

We took the car back to the dealership, Merced, CA Honda, and explained to the service department we were concerned for our safety. They said it was NORMAL for Honda as it was a transition period to check the traction level. This is NOT NORMAL. It is very dangerous. I was at the bottom of a hill attempting to cross traffic to get into right hand lane to go left. The car hesitated and I was nearly hit. Now that I own the car what are my options?
