i had a ignition repaired by the Honda dealer ...a month later the recall came out for an ignition issue , i drove the car in , the repair was listed as car would not start , after i showed them how to start vehicle to move it to shop. when the recall came out i sent bill to Honda America for a reimbursement . Honda America said my repair didn't fit the recall and refused to pay . when i had the repair done i asked for the ignition parts ,,, after asking several dealership shops Honda of course they told me that they replace the ignition tumbler or in other words the ignition so the vehicle doesn't later come back with the same issues.if i would have known and received the recall notice earlier my ignition tumbler would have been replaced and done for free . i could have seen me later purchasing a couple seat covers, step rails , and more accessories for this vehicle only to be denied by the Honda America customer service and in a subtle way letting me know we don't want further business from you. those items would have been well over the six hundred i spent on the ignition. i was considering purchasing a crosstour but if the Honda corporation could not settle with me on a six hundred invoice how do you think they would have handled a recall issue after i paid 35000 . its a chance i cannot take and will no longer look at a Japanese vehicle when our USA car companies will go head over heels to sell me a car in this poor world wide economy . when i looked up the web site for Honda , its corporate philosophy is all about the customer which is false , i witnessed it and therefore do not follow their three rules or it would have been taken care of. if you consider buying from Honda good luck but if you have a problem don't expect the Honda America to reimburse you for that issue or recall its unfortunate i do believe that Honda makes descent cars only to undermined by their poor customer service reps
