I am a 62 year old single grandmother who traded in my 11 year old Honda Civic with 250,000 miles on it for a safer automobile that would be safe. I purchased a 2011 Honda Fit with 15 miles on it two months ago and traveled to Denton, TX on October 1st of this year. On the way back, the air conditioning went out suddenly. I took it back to the dealer - I have an extended warranty, by the way - and found out that it "isn't covered under warranty" because I "hit a rock". Obviously the design of the automobile resulted in the damage; which is substantiated data from other customers' complaints. Now I find that numerous people have experienced the very same thing AND Honda will not cover the damage OR change the design to add a screen to deflect the "road debris". I had hoped that I would have this automobile for years; however, I am very upset that this has not been corrected by Honda, and these automobiles recalled and fixed.
