The 2011 Honda Fit has an extremely uncomfortable driver's seat headrest/active head restraint system. It's not something you notice when you test drive the car, but within the first 100 miles of my long trip back to Alaska in my new Fit, I had removed the headrest. It is that uncomfortable for me! I drove without it for three years until friends persuaded me that it was unsafe to drive without it. So I put it back in the car and I've had severe neck pain ever since. I have now removed it again. Apparently this has something to do with it being an active head restraint, but it does no good if I remove it because it is so uncomfortable. The constant severe neck pain is worse than the small chance that I might be in an accident.
