water leak water leak

We bought our 2016 Honda HRV July of 2015 right off the delivery truck fresh from the factory! It's been a nice little suv until this water issue appeared. We hadn't had much rain prior to my husband finding the water in the spare tire well. After coming home from taking care of my father, my husband told me about the water in the well but it had dried up. We had not thought about it or noticed it until the rain we had for several days straight. I noticed a water sloshing sound and looked. There it was water in our spare tire well.

Took it to our local Honda company and they told me it will be $1,600 dollars to replace seals, gaskets, push pins and another $900.00 to replace the carpet that was soaked. I also found out that having my car washed every week was probably contributing to the water leakage!

We have always maintained our car and none of our seals, or anything else is warned!!!! As far as we are concerned this is a manufacturing problem!! Our car came from the manufacture company like this!! Our warranty of course was up miles ago. But, even our extended warranty does no good!!! So, if the water starts to cause rust and the carriage of the care will be or is it already crap????

Anyway, be careful when you buy any car now !!! Check for leaks!!!
