While driving on A Costa Mesa the street at 30 miles per hour, the car brakes came on hard without me touching the brake pedals. Also a voice from the speaker system came on and said: BRAKES ARE SET. The problem lasted for about 3 to 4 seconds and then the brakes were released by themselves. I was very lucky that I was driving on the street with very little traffic at that time. If I had been driving on the freeway at freeway speed, the consequences could have been disastrous, I could have been seriously injured and I could have injured others.I proceeded to take the car immediately to Honda Costa Mesa to have them find the defect and correct it. I am afraid to drive this car and I want Honda to guarantee that this car is safe to drive and the braking system will not come on by itself ever again. Below is a phrase from one of my previous letters to Honda:

I am afraid to think about what other horrible defects I am going to find in the next weeks of use. Now it is coming to show one more problem with this car. This time it can be a deadly one. I am sending a copy of all the letters I have sent Honda to my attorney. This way if something should happen to me or my family while using this car, they will be aware that I have asked Honda repeatedly to repair it and that Honda has refused to do anything about for a year or more. When I turned the car to the dealer, I asked the tech person if there was any electronic system that could send the wrong signal to the brakes and apply braking even when the brake pedal is not pressed. The tech person indicated that that is not possible; there were no electronic devices that could malfunction between the brake pedal and the braking system. This was a lie. These are some reported problems with the brakes in this model.: 1. Pedal brake makes a "click" sound when is pressed driving at over 35 mph. Honda service tech at local dealer says is expected as the pedals has links and switches after brake pedal. Louder "click" sounds at the area of gear shaft plastic cover in parking position when car is stationed and brake pedal is pressed. Honda service tech. Says is expected: this model has electronic parking brake with switches in that area. The sentence in red letter tells you that a malfunction on the electronic parking brake could apply a braking function even if the car is in motion. 2. In motion. Could not stop at 2 red lights. Took it to my garage and would not stop again, causing me to crash through laundry room wall, demolishing washer, dryer utility sink etc. This makes the car LETHAL
