HR-V Sport 1.8L 4-cyl

  • CVT transmission
  • 5,000 miles

Vehicle was purchased on Nov. 11, 2018. On March 12, 2019, at 5k miles, three indicator lights spontaneously lit on the dash during drive at 35mph: check engine, a yellow ((P)) which corresponds to the symbol on the electronic emergency brake, and a red “PARK” light began flashing. I took the vehicle into Checkered Flag Honda (6541 E Virginia Beach Blvd, Norfolk, VA 23502) for the first of three visits for the same issue over the past four months. On this visit, code P0138 for O2 sensor #2 voltage high and UO401-68 Parking Brake code were pulled from vehicle's system. The dealership advised that if codes returned O2 sensor would need to be replaced. On the second visit, after significant changes in the acceleration and drivability of the vehicle, and the same lights flashing (after 6 occurrences of these codes flashing after initial visit), the O2 sensor was replaced. The third visit was initiated on July 1, 2019 after a total of 20 instances of the codes flashing. As of July 7, 2019, the car has spent 15 days (and counting) at the service center for the same issue. I am now in contact with the general manager, and loaner vehicles have been provided by this dealer while they are working to remediate the issue. I will be filing a complaint directly with Honda as well.
