My new 2020 Honda has broken down 3 times since I bought it September 10th this year. Now it is only 3 months old. It is in the garage again. When I start the car the display screen does not come on. The Honda dealership witnessed the malfunction and took a photo of the malfunction. I have a video of the malfunction occurring. However, the problem is intermittent and dealership cannot reproduce the problem consistently.

Now they are telling me that because the problem is intermittent and not consistently reproducible, they cannot fix it. So now I have a new car that is not repairable and likely not safe to drive. Each time I bring the vehicle in for repair the dealership tells me that I must continue to monitor the problem but they are not willing to say that they will fix the problem. They simply tell me again that the problem is not traceable,or reproducible, and so is not fixable. I believe that if my new car is not fixable, it should be replaced. The dealership is not willing to talk to me about replacing the vehicle.

Currently I'm trying to get my money back or get another new car. I will likely have to enter some type of Mediation process with Honda Canada to try to re-coupe the cost of my new car or get another new car. The fact that I have a 3 year all-inclusive warranty does not seem to matter to the dealership or to Honda Canada. They do not seem interested in fixing my car. I have a feeling that the mediation process will benefit Honda Canada and the dealership. The mediation is done by Honda Canada. I might need to go get a lawyer to get through this ordeal.

I am very stressed by this and I am losing sleep. I am feeling physically ill because of the poor treatment I am receiving from the Crown Honda dealership and Honda Canada. This situation has been going on since Dec 1. and it is exhausting me. I'm driving a rental car now again and the dealership is threatening me that if I do not pick up my malfunctioning car I will have to pay for the rental. I am afraid that my vehicle may not be safe to drive and I am afraid it may malfunction and may cause an accident and injury. Can anyone help me?

Update from Jan 13, 2022: Honda Canada finally approved a repair on March 18, 2021 however the vehicle continues to have issues with the display panel. It will show a loading screen that will go away when the car is shut off and restarted. Now the same problem is re- occurring my radio and back up camera are not working consistently. It is currently back in the garage and I don't have a vehicle to drive.
