I have noticed while driving straight I can feel the steering wheel jerking and slightly pulling. Almost feels like the steering is trying to correct itself while driving Even though I'm going straight and no steering assist is on.

As you increase your speed your steering wheel becomes hard to steer. It acts like it gets stuck. Almost caused an accident as wheel would not respond quickly.
- Ocala, FL, USA
The steering is sticky and jerky at highway speeds. I can overpower it but it is annoying and makes it unsafe to drive.
- Herkimer, NY, USA
When trying to correct steering and to maintain position in a lane, the steering will stick. I must use additional force to turn the wheel, which leads to overcorrection.

steering feel sticking after 45 minutes driving.

My car is under 10,000 miles and I've had it since November 2023, and in August 2023, the steering wheel began to feel "sticky" and has ever since then. The steering wheel feels jerky when driving at no particular speed and acts up randomly, but I have noticed it is becoming more pronounced. I notice it when I'm driving straight in my lane, and have not felt it when making a lane change or turning. At some point it's like the steering wheel is met with such resistance when steering, I have to use an abnormal amount of effort to move the steering wheel just to stay in my lane. Sometimes, when having the car parked, if you slightly move the wheel back and forth, you can feel the stickiness, and even here the wheel getting stuck. The steering wheel does not feel smooth when driving. I did bring it to a Honda dealership a couple of times this past month and the technician was unable to detect an issue when running a diagnostics test. My car did not show any warning indicators.

i have a 2023 HRV AWD. We test drove it and bought it with the lane assist on. We had never had a vehicle with lane assist and thought it was something we needed to get accustomed to using. It grew irritating so I turned it off. We soon realized it was something else. The steering would stick and jerk. This vehicle is unsafe to drive and cannot be driven in rain or snow. We reported it in January and were told Honda is aware of the issue and working to fix it. In March I took it in for service and asked what was taking so long. They wanted to wait until I brought it back in, to file a report. So on May 3, they told me they're waiting for the Honda district manager to contact them, and they're still waiting. Twice they have test driven it and agreed there is a problem. In January they even test drove a new HRV, after turning off the lane assist, on the lot with the same problem.

Rack and Pinion failing. Jerky and hard steering. I took it in to Honda and they told me it was the rack and pinion and the part wouldn-??t be in until May 2023. They continued to have me drive it and told me it was safe to drive.
