Well, We have, twice a year, waxed and protected our 2001 Honda Odyssey since the year it was bought. The clearcoat feels thin and the paint color seems to be fading in the areas of both sliding doors at the tops, the rear top roof, the left fender, and the front hood middle. This problem is expensive to fix and very ugly. I do realize that the Odyssey is quite old, but I am surprise that it happened all the sudden within the last 12 months. Will add photos later.
Update from Jan 29, 2016: The clear coat failure is continuing as expected. This is an obnoxious problem that is common in Honda vehicles from 1999-2005. Honda did not do something right in their painting process.

Significant clear coat deterioration and paint oxidation on the hood and roof of the van, which makes the van look like a junker.

This van was garaged at least 3/4 of its life and the problem is ALL of the hood and the roof and has completely gotten 10 times worse in the last year.

I am a car enthusiast from age 4 and I have been obsessed with how my car looks exterior wise and both my cars a 1998 Honda Accord EX and a 2001 Honda Odyssey LX have the same problem. Both of them the paint is pealing. Like once I was driving down the highway in my Accord and all I see is a piece of paint the size of printer paper just peeled off the hood and just flew off the top and flew behind thank goodness there was no one behind me. Then my Odyssey when I was at home my younger sister threw a soft foam ball at it and the paint chipped.
