seat belt failed to lock

On June 2, 2021 my husband and I were backseat passengers in an automobile accident. There were 4 passengers in the vehicle. We were passengers in the middle row. During the crash all of the passenger's seatbelts locked us into place but unfortunately my husband's did not. He was ejected from the vehicle while still wearing his seatbelt. Because he was ejected from the vehicle he sustained several injuries including 17 fractured ribs that were plated and rodded back into place and he is now paralyzed from below his chest down.

We have reached out to Honda many times since the accident, since the end of 2021. They continue to give us the run around constantly close our complaint cases. I had to finally send an email to the CEOs, people over different departments and their legal team. I googled until i found out their contact information. I finally received a call from a legal rep after I advised I would seek assistance from my Attorney General's office in resolving this matter. I am allowing them until 11/11/2022 to resolve this issue before I we take the matter to the court to allow a jury of our peers to determine damages owed to my family. This has been such a trying time for us financially, emotionally, physically and mentally. If anyone has had any issues with seatbelt's not locking you in place during an accident, please reach out to me. It's time we hold these auto makers accountable for putting us in these unsafe vehicles.
