I purchased four Goodyear assurance touring P225/60 R16 97T tires at sam's club in March 2011. These were installed on 2003 Honda Odyssey LX. Vehicle, including tires, were well maintained; tires were balanced, rotated periodically and monitored biweekly for the correct level of air pressure. The wheels were aligned. The van is non-commercial; only family / personal use. After 26 months and 27900 miles, one of the tires failed unexpectedly while in use. There were no warning signs of impending failure. Passenger side rear tire failed by blow-out at 65 mph. Vehicle including tires had been subjected to state safety inspection 16 days before the incident and had passed. Nothing was noted about the condition of the tires on the occasion of the state inspection. The tires had been visually inspected by driver at the last fuel stop before the incident with nothing out of the ordinary observed.

Was driving along I-10 eastbound in phoenix, AZ around 4:45 am on my way to work and I heard and thumping noise from the rear of vehicle and then the tire blow out cousing damage to the left rear section of my vehicle. Tire was Bridgestone P225/60 R16 97T M+S el4Z PL6 dot Y7X0 (PL6) (4604) loil. When I bought the tires from wal-mart in AZ had too have one (1) replaced due to separting from the inside of tire which was on 01-26-2007 and then had to have on replaced after the side wall blow out 06-28-2007 and both time tires were replaced. I would like to know if there was a recall on the Bridgestone tires for defects. Thank you

Bridgestone potenza RE92, 22560R16. Right front tire tread came completely off the wheel. Able to move to the right safely. Odometer reading 48K for this tire and air pressure recently checked. No impact with anything in the roadway, smooth roadway.

My vehicle, a 2003 Honda Odyssey, is completely unsafe in snow/ice, no matter how little snow or ice. Less than 2 years old, it has only 23,000 miles and all original manufacturer equipment and tires. All regular maintenance has been done at the Honda dealer where it was purchased. Vehicle lacks traction in snow or ice, wheels spinning out of control (whether traction control system is on or off). Vehicle cannot go up slightest incline. Cannot stop normally in any kind of snow or ice, skidding past destination (taking me through a red light with children in back seats). A huge safety concern / risk. Both manufacturer and dealer refuse to address the problem saying that ABS and other equipment is working properly. Dealer alleges problem is tires. Given low mileage and factory original tires, this does not make sense to me. Neither is willing to do anything. This vehicle is the most unsafe vehicle that I've ever had. To further clarify, I very much like Honda - so much so that I also own a civic. However, my civic handles snow extremely well, while the Odyssey is very, very dangerous.

While driving 70 mph rear driver's side tire blew out. Later, consumer found out that the rear passenger wheel produced a large hole in the middle. Dealer stated they were not covering it, and that consumer hit a pothole.
