problem #1

Odyssey EX 3.2L V6

  • Automatic transmission
  • 69,000 miles

Heard a sound like a stone hitting underneath while driving on hwy. Pulled over and pulled some debris like styrofoam/thermocoal underneath. After a while noticed AC stopped working. Once in a while a big noise will come out of the engine and jam the whole engine (can't run the vehicle more than 15/20 miles). Took it to mechanic who initially charged $130+ tax to recharge the freon and realize that Compressor has gone bad. I got annoyed and took it to another mechanic I trust. Both confirmed AC compressor damaged/failed. Estimated cost $868. Called GEICO insurance company. Vehicle being stranded in shop for 4 days, finally their adjuster said, I had the problem in my car as well with clutch locking in.... bla bla.. but refused to honor the claim!

BTW Got it from Concord Hond dealer CA 11 months ago with a hope of getting reliable car from authorized dealer -they turned out to be yet another big rip-off /sold this w tons of problems
