When applying brakes on a downhill the front end starts to shimmy. Service manager at Planet Auto in Golder, CO said the front brakes needed replacing. That was done along with "resurfacing the rotors". I advised the manager that I thought the shimmy was unsafe and there should be a better way of letting the driver know the brakes needed replacing. Now, 16,000 miles later, the "shimmy" is starting again. I am 74 years old, have been driving since I was 15. Have a perfect driving record and normally get approximately 50,000 plus miles on brakes. I think Honda is either using substandard brake products or has substandard front end parts that cause the shimmy, which is dangerous, when the brake pads make contact with the rotors.
