Odyssey LX

  • Automatic transmission
  • 74,000 miles

A new transmission for a 5 year old car with 74,000 miles? And I bought a Honda because of the great reputation! I called Honda of America and they say "too bad you didn't buy the extended warranty." Because I change my own oil they say I didn't keep up with scheduled maintenance. Wow. Not what I expected from Honda.

Odyssey Touring 3.5L

  • Automatic transmission
  • 56,000 miles

Noise from transmission when you let your foot of the gas. This started around

50K miles. Took it to the dealer and they changed the oil in hopes that would fix the

problem. They call the zone manager and he authorized the replacement of the

transmission. The minimal cost was well worth it. I understand Honda has had this

problem with years other than 2005. I also understand the newer Odyssey's

have change the transmission to the same as the Honda Ridgeline. Dealer was very helpful with the issue.
