after spending almost $5000 in tires on this car and getting run around from dealerships I found you can call local tire stores around and can find one that will depax your car. I found Porterfield tire, right behind my dealership that said you can not depax your car and they know nothing about it, that replaced all tires, wheels, sensors and everything for $1250. This was with a 60,000 mile cooper tire, and was $300+ less than 4 pax tires. I now will never have to deal with pax tires again. Yes you will loose some of the firmness of the pax tires, but after a little while you can adjust your driving to compensate. It is definitely worth not having to spend $1500+ every 38,000 - 40,000 miles.

UNBELIEVABLE!!!!
RIP OFF!! Run flats STINK! Today, my back passenger tire picked up a nail and my "RUN FLAT" piece of crap tire, could not be touched by the tire shop I pulled into! Only the dealer can handle...I now refuse to take it there. I am pricing new rims and tires rather then buy another "Run-flat" (LIAR LIAR) tire!! I want Honda to be looked at like Toyota is being examined, but more for the lies they have advertised and pushed as positive selling points, that only turned around and bit the consumer in the ASS!!!

I hate the PAX tires on my Honda Odessey Touring Edition. I was unaware when I purchased the van that these tires would be such a PAIN!!!! You would think that having a run flat would make your life easier but I would much rather change my tire. I was on a trip to Austin about a 5 hour trip when I got a flat tire about 45 min. from my destination. I had my sister and 5 kids under 6 in my car. I had to track down the closest Honda dealership which a huge pain itself and it turned out to be just 20 miles away. When I finally get there it was 5:00 and they tell me that they can not change my tire bc it takes at least an hour and a half to change and they get off at 6! They knew I was on a trip and still 45 minutes from my destination and I had 5 kids in the car and they were not willing to stay 30 min. after to help me. If you are going to make it where no one else can help then you you had better help!!!!! It wasn't until my husband called and pitched a fit to 3 different people that they agreed to help me. Crazy! I was not happy. And the kicker is that they were done with my van at exactly 6:05!!! I hate these tires and I am not happy with Honda either!

I was rather upset to find out I had to replace my tires on my 2005 Odyssey after just 25,000 miles. I am used to having tires that last atleast 60,000 miles and now that I am at 60,000 miles on my van it needs yet another set of tires. My other issue is there is no discounts for the tires lasting so little miles. I am looking into putting other tires on my van. This is just not acceptable to me.

$508.29 for two tires. First, and foremost, the salesman made no mention of the uniqueness of the tires. Certainly, did not mention that was no spare tire. Secondly, had he advised me that the tires would cost over 250.00 each to replace, I would not have purchased the vehicle. I'm stuck with it now, but I'll certainly be careful when I purchased another vehicle.....notice I did not say Honda!!

These tires are a disaster for Honda and the automobile owner. We waiting for 2 hours before being told there was no mechanic "qualified" to operate the machinery necessary to change a flat. The service adviser then tried to send us away to another dealer saying "sorry nothing we can do" before the supervisor came in and made things right. To Honda's credit, they gave us another Odyssey while they were fixing it but it sure was a pain. I'm told there is a way to retrofit out conventional wheels in place of the run flats, but the catch is there is no spare tire in this vehicle.

Major problem getting service for these Run Flat tires used on the Touring model Odyssey and the cost of repairs, any where from 100.00 as high as 118.00 for a flat repair, and $500.00 + for a new tire. Not all Honda dealers, as advertised, even offer these tires compounding the repair problems that service should be provided by a Honda dealer. If you travel outside the US Honda doesn't offer these tires at all so if you have a problem with these tires your out of luck, also you cannot plug these tires. None of this information was ever made available by the dealer, in fact the dealer never new about these tires not being available outside the US. Honda service dept. have told me they are having nothing nothing but problems with these tires, they claim it takes two men 2/3 hrs. to repair one tire, does that sound crazy, Honda should offer these as an option not as your only choice!!!!

When I decided to buy the Honda Odyssey I had no idea that it would cost so much money to replace the run-flats. They last me about 1 year before I have to replace all 4 tires, which cost me at least $1200 every year. Which is just insane! If the salesperson had told me before i bought the Odyssey how much it cost to replace them and how often, I never would have bought it. I think they purposely don't tell you the things that can and do go wrong on these vans. Before I decided on the Honda Odyssey I was also looking at the Toyota Sienna, which at this point I wish I had bought instead of the Odyssey. In the last couple years I have had nothing but problems ranging from steering wheel loud noise, possible transmission problems, electrical problems, back seat problems, and constant replacement of very expensive tires. I only have 75,860 miles on my Honda. At that mileage I should not be having these problems. And to make it worse, I don't have a job right now and can't afford to fix this junker or trade it in. So I have very unreliable transportation for me and my kids. It scares me. I don't want to get caught with my kids on the side of the road at night with car problems. I wish I had never bought this van.
