My six-year-old son was reaching for his seat belt at the same time the door was being closed by the driver. The car was parked. My son's fingers were caught in the back of the sliding door. Even more upsetting was that once the door was close, it could not be opened again for 30-45 seconds, with my screaming six-year-old's fingers still closed inside. There is a sensor on the door, but it is on the front of the door, not the back. Further, I think there should be an emergency release of the door installed.
