i had my inspection done today and the dealer told me that i will need new motor mounts to pass the next inspection. quoted 1100 for the rear and 1200 for the front (front includes a timing belt, which can be done at the same time to save labor cost). so that is 2300 dollars for 2 engine mounts on a 7 yo car. let me tell you my car history. 150K mile chevy cavalier, 95K mile civic, 275,000K mile accord, 32K mile TL, 75K mile RX350, 30K mile dodge neon, 150K mile avalon. i never needed a motor mount before. now i have 2 bad mounts that will cost me 2300 dollars? that is cow poo. my family had plenty of cars but never ever a single motor mounts. apparently this is "not uncommon among Hondas" according to the dealer. this is probably the last honda i am getting unless the dealer split the cost with me. otherwise i have been very happy with the hondas i have had. this van has the shakes though..
