While driving on the highway at about 65mph, the passenger side sliding door glass window shattered. There were no vehicle on that side of the van. The incident occurred in the houston area approx 5-6 miles after starting to drive from a covered parking garage. The outside temperature was around 90 deg F. the vehicle was taken to a Honda dealer for inspection. The local Honda rep refused to entertain the request as a manufacturing defect. A case N012012-08-230-0553 was opened with american Honda customer care and I was promised that a rep would call me by end of day Friday. However, no one called. There are several incidents reported like this on the internet, not just for the van but for other Honda vehicles as well. Also, a recall has recently been issued for 2800 2011 Honda Odyssey vans for a similar problem with front driver and passenger windows. The ignorance on the part of Honda to acknowledge this problem concerns me because any of my family members sitting in that seat would have been gravely hurt.
