When passengers are in the passenger seat, the airbag indicator light states airbag is off. I have informed the dealership where I purchased the auto about this several times. Nothing has been checked. I'm very concerned about this, my husband and I travel a lot now and a crash and a non working airbag could be the difference between life and or serious injury.

ODI complaint number 10263934 - unable to retrieve complaint from safercar.gov website. Can you please send me the link to review the complaint I made? the carfax report on my car states the air bag was deployed at the time of the accident. It was not and I had complained to NHTSA about Honda that the airbag was not deployed and it was a major accident. I'm trying to correct the record with carfax, but I need to be able to show that I had raised this issue at the time of the accident. This is affecting the value of the van during time of sale

SRS airbag control unit failed. Warning light indicator appears periodically, both while driving and parked.

The airbag sensor will not go off of the dashboard and when my husband ran the scan on my car, nothing came up. This has been going on for some time now and in October I was in a front end accident and the airbags did not go off, but the icon is still on, on my dash. The icon is on at all times but there are days when it doesn't come on at all.

I was driving straight down a road at speeds below 50 mph and suddenly felt a huge blow to the side of my head, along with a loud bang. I thought at first maybe a deer had come through my window, but both side curtain airbags had deployed. I did not hit anything and nothing had hit me. I did not run over anything either. I had the sheriff document that there was no damage to my vehicle. There were also cars behind me that witnessed this event. My vehicle was looked at by a regional engineering team from Honda. Today a customer service rep call to say that it wasn't their (Honda's) problem and they would not be offering any compensation because there were no internal errors showing up and there are no known issues with this vehicles SRS. They could not tell me why the airbag had deployed, only that their tests showed there was no internal errors. The rep said there are a lot of reasons an airbag can inadvertently deploy but since she wasn't driving with me that day she couldn't tell me why mine had, only that no internal errors showed up. The estimate to replace both side curtain airbags is over $8000.

Air bag cover on passenger side of dash board buckles. This has been replaced twice and Honda now calls it an "acceptable production defect".

New 2008 Honda Odyssey with less than 200 miles, when the problem first occurred 1. vibration in the steering wheel while braking. Happened every time when stopping at stop light or when slowing down. The Honda service dept. Identified it to be a warped motor and they had to resurface it. They mentioned that this problem has been noticed in some other vehicles too, but they didn't know what caused the problem. 2. passenger air bag light comes up while driving even when there is no passenger in the seat. The Honda service dept. Has looked at it twice now, as recent as 2/13/2009 and have mentioned that they don't know why it happens... that it also happens in one of the service tech's Odyssey van. Their solution to address this problem was to place a heavy object on the passenger seat! on both issues, I had opened a case with Honda customer service case #: N012009-01-0701207. The first time, the cust service representative tried to shrug off the vibration issue as not an issue. On the second incident, the representative sounded concerned and mentioned that he would also be upset about these multiple issues on a new van. He assured that within 2 days, a Honda representative will contact me to follow-up on this issue. But, never did I receive any call back. Due to poor response from Honda customer service, I haven't called them back as I don't get any proper response from them. I feel that I have been sold a "lemon" and that the Honda company should take this vehicle back and provide a new/different Odyssey van.
