Car went on fire and was total loss. Waiting for investigation to be completed.

The contact owns a 2010 Honda Odyssey. The contact stated that while driving approximately 40 mph, he heard a loud noise. The vehicle was pulled over and stopped when the contact noticed that the shield for the engine detached from the vehicle. The vehicle was taken to an authorized dealer where the contact was informed that the shield and its clips needed to be replaced. The vehicle was repaired. The manufacturer was notified and they offered no assistance. The failure mileage was approximately 20,500.

2010 Honda Odyssey. Consumer states several problems with vehicle the consumer stated the vehicle would stall while driving. The vsa light, drive light, emergency brake light would all flash or stay on consistently while driving. The vehicle made a grinding noise and the engine revved high.

2010 Honda Odyssey engine defect that causes it to fail and cease operation while driving having the driver lose the ability to fully control the vehicle. Defect is in the oil supply to the overhead camshaft causing it to seize and breaking the timing belt. Much upper end engine damage.
