Every once and a while for the past year or so my van would begin to shake when I would get on the highway (going highway speeds only), which I didn't do much since I mostly drive around town. Then we moved to where I was on the highway a lot and noticed the vibration a lot more. I took it to one shop and they said it was my back rotors and they replaced them. That didn't fix the issue. Went to another shop and they tell me this is very common with Odysseys and they replace the entire front axles on a lot of Odysseys. The reason this is common (based on the shop) is because Honda puts an Accord frame on an Odyssey body and the smaller frame can't handle the size and weight of the Odyssey. Ugh! I'm tired of hearing "this is a common known issue with the Odyssey". After this common repair and a couple of others we are done with Honda. We are actively saving up money and doing our research to get out from this vehicle asap before something major breaks down. I don't understand how this website ranks our model as being awesome and the 2011-2012 as being pretty good when there was (I believe) a class action lawsuit about the transmission. More people need to report their issues.

When I picked up new car had a severe vibration and found flat spots on tires, demanded and received new tires. Wheels were balanced but still had some vibration - not as bad as original. Took car to dealer in Florida and he said it was OK - still vibration. Will take to specialist wheel balance shop.

We bought this 2010 Odyssey in London Ont brand new......we drove it just a short distance and we noticed a vibration in the steering and in the seats. The vibrations start about 60 kilometers per hour, and increase the faster I drive. At about 80 - 90 clicks it starts to sway ever so slightly, but it does sway. At about 100 to 120 clicks , it's really bad. After about an hour of highway driving, it's very tiring to drive.....it just drains me. Driving this van is like driving with a vibrator under the seat. The dealership denies the Odyssey vibrates.....their mechanic took it out for a test drive with us in the car. He said it does not vibrate. But they took the tires off and re-balanced the wheels and tires and said it was fixed. We had to wait for five hours at the dealership while they did this.... We drove home and the Odyssey STILL vibrates...... any body else have this imaginary problem?

My Husband and I purchased our second Honda Odyssey (2010) after an accident that totaled our previous Odyssey (2005). It was late the store had closed and my husband and I took the new van home, to which he noticed a shimming /vibration in the steering. Took it back to the dealership after 1 week, I was told that the wheels may need to be balanced. OK Done- on my way home noticed the shimming/vibration was still there, took van back next day, preformed a force balance this time. Done- on my way home there it goes again, so i turned around went back to the service station and told them i didn't want it back until it was fixed. put me in a rental, which I stayed in for 3 weeks until they called me back, ( was called to come and test drive on 4 separate occasions) told me that they just took the wheels off of another new van and noticed that it stopped. So I took her for a test drive and would you know it was not shimming/vibrating anymore. But 5 months later it started back up again.. What do i Do? the van has 8000 miles on it, Honda has had more that Three times to fix the matter! Is anyone else having this problem?

I ended up getting a 2010 Honda Odyssey EX from a used car dealer in May. Couple weeks after that, vibrations began in the steering wheel when at 65 mph, but they go away when she reaches 70. Went to a tire shop, got two used tires. Still have plenty of tread. Tires were balanced. Problem went away. 3 weeks later, tire on front driver's side got a puncture and on top of it all, the vibrations in the steering wheel came back. Went and got the tire replaced. Tire was balanced, but vibrations still remain in the steering wheel.
We still have a wheel weight on 3 of the 4 wheels and the right front is still in balance. What is going on with my Odyssey? I need to get this fixed ASAP before my move back to North Carolina! Someone please help me! I need this van. She's my family's lifeline and I love this vehicle! I don't wanna wreck her during the move or have something break down!
