Paint peeled by sunroof. Honda does not care. This is an ongoing problem with paint and Honda's. Honda acknowledges there is a problem with their paint and they understand there is issues but if beyond the standard 3 year warranty will do nothing for you. Will never buy a Honda again. AVOID!!!!!!

80% of the cars paint has turned from clear coat to dull, then the paint is beginning to fall off. This is obviously a painting defect, but Honda refuses to cover. I am going to make a point to tell this to everyone I know. AMERICAN HONDA MOTOR CO. has mislead me. I feel like I was taken advantage of. I have referred many people in my time to purchase Hondas, but this experience has changed my mind.
I'm going to try to escalate this to someone higher up at AHM, but as of now this is looking like buying a HONDA was a mistake!

A year ago (June of 2017), the paint started to bubble and peel off of the tailgate of my van. I took it to my local Honda dealer and they offered to have it repainted - no cost to me. Now, a year later, the van is peeling on the roof as well as around the hood - chunks of paint coming off as well as some cracking and peeling around joints. The dealer asked me to go to a local shop and get an estimate. Upon submitting it to Honda, they have offered to pay for 1/3 of the estimate. They offered me the option of calling Honda customer service directly, which I intend to do.

The paint on the roof just forward of the sunroof is oxidized and peeling; the same is beginning on the hood and on other sections of the roof. The van has been garaged for most of its life (we've owned it since 2011) and is washed about once a month. Honda service members at the dealership acknowledged verbally that it was aging far faster than normal. Honda corporate had us take it in for photos and an estimate, but ultimately declined to fix it. They instead gave us a 'loyalty card' for about 1/3 of the price required to correct it.

Paint all over car is peeling. Dealer is telling us that the paint warranty expired. But this seems like it is above and beyond. Honda is willing to help a little with the roof but have not heard regarding the other parts. 80K miles and we have to basically repaint the whole car.

I purchased a 2011 White Honda Odyssey from a small time dealer on Nov 2012. I observed that the roof of the car had its paint peeling off after about a year 2013 Nov. I went to a reputed dealer, who acknowledged the paint issues with Honda but told that 2011 models are not one of those. He contacted Honda and came back with an offer of $400 to cover the paint issues. But that would no way cut it and I feel cheated and ripped to have bought a Honda. Will never by a Honda again.

My 3 year old white Honda Odyssey van had peeling roof paint which was not covered under warranty. A Honda dealership subcontractor is presently repainting the car with shared cost from the Honda dealer. I'm to pay $200 plus 3 or 4 days car rental costs. Today is day 12 and it may take another 4 or 5 days before I get my car back next week. I didn't realize so many others had the same problem until I Googled Honda Odyssey paint warranty

Paint has faded on the majority of the roof after only 8 years of ownership. Starting to peel in other parts of the car as well(hood, quarter panel, sides) but the roof is significantly noticeable. Researched issue online and discovered multiple other people with the same complaints. Very disappointed as we purchased this car new under the guise of "Honda Quality".
