Odyssey EXL 3.5L V6

I am the owner of a Honda 2013 Odyssey V6. The vehicle has been very well maintained. On 11/3/2024, at 90,362 miles the check engine light went on. I took the car to the dealership the next day and found a DTC P0302 engine misfire. The dealer agreed this is Honda’s engine defect on VCM, but asked the owner for $5,190 for engine rebuild of piston rings 1-3 and 6 spark plugs replacement. Later I found there was this class action on the year/model of this car and I never got notification of this class action settlement nor the extended warranty coverage.

I never changed my contact information since owning the vehicle and I am the only owner. The class action settlement on extended warranty to 8 years / unlimited mileage. Due to Covid19, the vehicle has not been driven much between March 2020 and 2022, which delayed the engine misfire symptoms to come up. I contacted Honda North America and was denied a good will claim with the reason for the expired warranty, which they never notified me about this coverage. This class action settlement is unfair to the owners who keep the vehicle for the long term. It should allow unlimited years. Any lawyers would like to file a new class action or reactivate the original class action?

I am so paranoid and disappointed with this van and with the Honda of vehicles. It is my second new van and since day one it was already giving me problem after a few months of having it, this is not good, I really wish to have a some kind of refund from all the problems I've been having since I got it, up until still now. I will right them a letter to corporate office stating all the problems since day one and present.
