Have talked with Honda as numerous trips to the dealer did nothing. The dealer said that this was just the way it is. Honda said that the vehicle was too new and there have not been enough complaints. Surely we can not be the only owners with this problem. Is the any recourse to this safety problem ?

Purchased vehicle on 12/26/13. Picked it up on 12/27. Noticed the blowing noise the very first day. Called Honda dealer where I purchased the vehicle. They advised to bring it in. The first time I could take the Honda to the dealer was 1/24/14. The technician claimed, they could not hear the noise. They wanted me to bring it in again, so I can drive another Odyssey to see if it has the same problem. I returned on 2/1. Drove a different 2014 Odyssey with two technicians. Both of them heard the noise. They were very sympathetic. However, they have no solution. I explained to them as well as the General Manager, Google research shows: the seals on the mirror's are bad as well as the weatherstripping on the doors. The service manager and the service desk representative were very nice when they advised: they understand my frustration. However, there is nothing they can do. I asked for my money back so I can purchase a different vehicle elsewhere. I was told by the GM: they can't do that. He referred me to the Honda organization as they will need to address the problem. The dealership (where I purchased the van) was to contact Honda the following Monday (2/3) and let me know their findings. They gave me an 800 number to call with my complaint as well. I waited several weeks and heard Nothing from the Honda dealer. (Note:it is very hard to talk on a personal call when I'm at work). I then called the American Honda Corp on 3/27.Their voice mail advised: they were closed. I called back 3/28 AM to voice my complaint. I was given a Case number and was told a case worker will call me within one day. I received a voice mail on 3/31 late in the day. I called the case worker back on 4/1 at 9:55am. I had to leave him a voice mail. As of 11:45am, I have Not received a return call. I called again and was able to reach the case worker. He seemed very disorganized and unfamiliar with my complaint. We discussed the "wind noise" (as he called it) complaint. He advised:he will need to contact the dealership where I purchased the vehicle to get their input and he will call me back by Friday (4/4/14). Important notation: the case worker did not seem concerned that I was annoyed with the noise or that I am an unhappy customer. He didn't seem to care one way or the other. As of 4/4 at 7:10pm, I did NOT receive a call from American Honda. Today (4/7) at 10:24am, I called American Honda to ask to speak to a supervisor or a manager. I described the reason I needed to speak to a supervisor or manager to the representative that answered the phone. The representative checked their records, concerning my case and advised: the case worker entered a note in their computer that advised: he left a voice mail at my home on Friday (4/4). I advised the representative: No he did as I took a vacation day to get the problem resolved. I Never Received a Call from the Case Worker and I did Not even receive a voice mail. The representative is to have a manager call me tomorrow (which is the soonest they can call). 4/7 at 1:10pm, I received a call from the case worker., He advised: the engineer's have determined, that the Problem is for ALL 2014 Honda's and they have No updates, parts, recalls or changes to correct the problem at this time. He says, the problem is a characteristic of the vehicle. There is NO Fix Available. The American Honda nor the Honda dealership will take responsibility for the Extremely Annoying Blowing Noise. So, The Customer (me) is poop out of luck. I spent $32,500.00 and can't stand driving the van. I would recommend that you NOT BUY a 2014 Honda Odyssey.

Bough a brand new Honda Odyssey Touring Elite, the best in their lineup. Paid good money and driving home I heard a very annoying noise coming from the front of the car, either the windshield, the rear view mirror, or passenger window side. Extremely annoying. Contacted the dealer, brought the vehicle back and they said they replaced the sealant on the windshield. Driving home the exact same noise, at this stage it seemed to have gotten louder (if at all possible). Contacted dealer again, left the car overnight, was given a loaner, when returned to pick up the vehicle, was told that they had installed a new windshield. On the way back noise was still present.
Called Honda Corporation and was basically told that I was ass out, since the vehicle performed in all areas, and there was no recall suggesting annoying noise. Realized too late that I was stuck, unless I went shopping for a new vehicle, which really was the last thing I wanted to do. Honda does not care at all about this structural problem, and I did some research and there are a number of hard working people that put the money down for the Honda Odyssey, and that now have to live with this annoying sound. It sucks big lemons, and as the months have rolled by I am very close on switching vehicles. Must say that all other aspects of the vehicle have been working as they should, for the exception of the most annoying noise that Honda does not even care to acknowledge, and I truly believe that the reason they do not want to be bothered with this issue, is because it is a structural issue that show how incompetent car manufacturers can be at times.
Stuck for now, read the review in this site of a fellow owner who has experienced this problem, who also tried his best to have the problem fixed, and found out, like I did, that Honda is just going to leave loyal purchasers to suffer through the ownership of this defective Honda Odyssey. Yet, it is still number one in Minivans, and not one serious media reviewer has brought this very important point to the knowledge of future buyers. Talk about safeguarding personal interests at the expense of the consumer. This noise is so annoying when traveling, specially in windy roads, that it is hard to believe their top of the line would make this kind of noise.
