Odyssey UNK 3.5L V6

  • Automatic transmission
  • 31,002 miles

Brakes started shaking when going over a mountain or down a mountain. Took it to dealer. So you said it was a warped rotor. Shortly thereafter it started doing the same thing. Google the problem and found out this was reoccurring. The only way to fix it is to use a better quality rotor and replace with new brakes. They quoted me a price of over $700. They offered to repair it for $200 cost to me. I checked on the parts to do the job with a better rotor and the cost of the parts was approximately $170. Say time to do the job is approximately one and a half to two hours. This seems to be a high price to me to fix a reoccurring problem. Since they did a temporary repair and since then I am out of the warranty then I will have to fix it myself or have them fix it. This should have been fixed under warranty because third problem first occurred under warranty. This to me is not very good quality and customer service.

Odyssey EX-L V6

  • Automatic transmission
  • 200 miles

I bought a new Odyssey EX-L yesterday. On the drive back, the steering is shaking when I brake at highway speeds. This is a brand new car with ~200 miles on it. The never ending trips to the dealer starts now...

Odyssey ES V6

  • Automatic transmission
  • 1,800 miles

slowing from 65mph to 50mph...brakes are shaking

This is my FIRST HONDA purchase. I am surprised to read that this has been happening for years and Honda did not recall the brakes. My concern is safety and I never experience too much shaking for a brand new car. Will update once I bring it in for Warranty brake repair with less than 2000 miles.
