Soft or Low Brake Pedal The brake pedal have a soft feeling and travel to the floor with low effort. This is causing low braking performance and increased pedal stroke. This condition is increasing the risk of a crash.

2018 Honda Odyssey front camera failures. We bought it brand new and found out today that front multipurpose camera was not working properly. There are bunches of warning lights popped up on dashboard: LCC, LKAS-?? problems. I went to Google and Facebook to see there were so many people have the same problem particularly with this 2018 models. Dealership wanted $1800 to replace camera and they know that was Honda technical issues, not in customers control.

See service Honda Service Bulletin 20-100 Dated 2-11-2021.The fuel Injectors part Number 16010 (6EA) has failed and my dashboard display, displays most of the sensors that means there is an actual problem, or a false reading. As a Honda owner, I cannot determine if it is an actual fault or a false reading. I had Rusty Wallace Honda dealer check the car using OBD device and the equipment indicates a code 219A, which indicates bad fuel injectors. Now after the check additional and different sensors are displayed with problems than were displayed prior to this check. The trouble shooting and after displaying the code 219A indicated a catastrophic failure. Rusty Wallace has verbalized the results and that I should continue driving the vehicle, that this would not damage the engine or the car. I am not a certified mechanic, but my younger days were devoted to back street work repairing and driving vehicles. Anytime that you starve or flood a cyclinder you had serious problems. I need this vehicle as a daily driver.

Warning messages for the following appeared: brake system lane keeping/assist system collision mitigation system problem road departure mitigation system problem auto-high beam problem adaptive cruise control problem None of these safety features now work. Our local dealership told us it was a failure of the multipurpose camera unit. The fix we are told is a $1400 part. The rear camera was just recalled by Honda and repaired within the last month. This failure should not have happened and greatly impacts the safety of the car and it is a common problem when searching Honda message boards.

Just bought the car used with 60240 mi at the end of March on a Friday. 30 minutes after leaving the dealership the Auto Idle Stop warning notice appeared on the dash stating this feature was unavailable. It would not engage when idle at a light and as a result, when the gas was pressed to accelerate the car would hesitate and jerk into gear. This happened the entire 1.5-hour ride home, whether for a short pause or longer pause. It was a bit scary because the car would hesitate to move and clearly there were cars behind me. At any point and time, someone could've rear-ended me thinking I was able to accelerate properly. About 1 hour into the ride the brake lights came on flashing red at the bottom of the dash the entire time and would not go out. I immediately called the dealership once I reached my destination to announce the problem. The following Monday I took it back for a look over. In their investigation, they found a tracker attached under the dash and assumed this was interfering with the transmission of messages for the Auto Idle stop to engage. The dealer claimed there were codes, but after removing this attachment the auto idle stop feature engaged and they cleared all the codes. To my surprise, after 4-5 hours of being there, I drove home to find as I neared by destination all error codes returned including the brake lights flashing. I immediately called the dealer again and complained. This time to not further inconvenience me with the back and forth, they came and picked up the car on a Thursday with the intent of troubleshooting it over the course of some days. They had the car from a Thursday to the next Friday for me to arrive after them saying it was good, to find it was still doing it. This time the codes were reviewed with me in the car and the issue was "it was unlearned". After the reset, it started working again. Four days later it's still happening. Engages when it feels like it which causes a rough drive and acceleration. Honda help!

My Honda Odyssey 2018 has a problem that sometimes, particularly during winter, that a lot of check lights are on, and sometimes the car starts to slide. The check lights may include the check engine light, the power steering light, the power brake light, and the transmission light. An independent mechanic determined that this is addressed by the Honda Service Bulletin 20-100, but Honda service representative denies a warranty coverage as they say the VIN is not in the range even when the Model, Make, and the diagnosis all matches (Honda Service representative: case # [XXX], [XXX]). INFORMATION Redacted PURSUANT TO THE FREEDOM OF INFORMATION ACT (FOIA), 5 U.S.C. 552(B)(6).

ALL the warning lights came on, including brakes, power steering, lane keeping assistance, lane departure warning, and others, indicating the car should be stopped immediately regardless of traffic or conditions. I do not know if the functions were also impaired or if was simply false alarms. I understand this is typical of this auromobile.

Both the dashboard and the computer shut down randomly, different warning signs pop up intermittently and the wheel locks up for a short time. It happens while driving at unpredictable times. It happened on the highway at the speed of 65 mph. and the vehicle is temporarily is not under driver-??s control. Yes, I took the vehicle for repair 3 times. Yes, the certified car dealership had identified different issues but none of them had fixed the problem. No, not by insurance or the manufacturer. No, no warning signs prior. First it happened in July, 2022

While vehicle in motion, first time brake pedal gets soft and get pressed extensively to floor with loss of braking power, if U hit brake immediately after first press, brake pedal works normal. Again once U hit acceleration, and try to hit brake, first attempt of braking gets very soft and almost bottom out without much braking power then immediately second push to brake pedal becomes more normal and harder braking. Whole cycle keeps repeating.

From the day I bought my car the brakes have squealed when applying them at a low rate of speed. There have been multiple times I have tried to accelerate and the gas took an extended time to work. Once I was trying to switch lanes and when I accelerated the van didn't go any faster and I almost caused an accident. The van shifts extremely hard. Everything the van shifts around 20-30 mph the entire vehicle jolts back and forth. This is a huge safety issue and the dealers will not acknowledge it. I have reached out to Honda's corporate number but they refuse to help. They have replaced the brakes, fluids and fuel injectors but all the issues still remain. I have also had a few issues with the sound system not working properly but have not mentioned that to the dealership or Honda corporate.

Electrical issues: After driving vehicle for 2 ' 5 minutes, entertainment system, rear entertainment screen and parking sensors stop working. The speakers make loud popping sound that will not go away even when you try to power off radio/entertainment system. Turning the vehicle off was the only way to stop the sound. Once restarted, everything would work for 2 ' 5 minutes and the same thing would happen. The speakers popping were very loud and distracting, screen with backup camera and parking sensors stopped working making the vehicle not drivable.

The front rotors warped and cause the steering wheels and front end of the car to shake whiling breaking at high speed. Shaking isn't noticeable under 30mph but the fast you go, the worst the shaking becomes. We had this issue with our older 2012 Odyssey and there was a recall for the it. When I ask the dealer about this issue, I was told there is no recall list for it and I will have to pay for replace my breaks and rotors.

Dec 302018

Odyssey 6-cyl

On 30 Dec 2018 as my family and I drove through osceola county, Florida, our Odyssey displayed an error message that read, "some driver assist systems cannot operate: Radar obstructed." The temperature was around 70 deg F and it was moderately foggy. The message cleared itself after 20-30 minutes and the driver assist systems came back online. We did not see any such error for the rest of our trip. At the end of our trip, on 3 Jan 2019, when my family and I were just outside charlottesville, Virginia, the vehicle proceeded to brake quite aggressively without driver input, as if it were avoiding a collision. It occurred near mile marker 115 on I-64 westbound, on a downward slope at dusk on dry pavement. We were perhaps 1000-1200 ft from the exit itself, well beyond the range of the 'extra long' setting on the acc at 70 mph. The only cars in front of us were already at the exit and did not appear to be undergoing any unusual maneuvers. This off-ramp is particularly long at this exit so I would not anticipate that those vehicles just entering the ramp were decelerating rapidly. I was using acc and lkas, as I had during most of our trip. When the van was braking, I instinctively depressed the throttle pedal to try to maintain speed. That resulted in the engine revving and no change to the hard braking. I disengaged the acc using the 'cancel' button and that appeared to end the hard braking (I may have briefly depressed the brake pedal at the same time but cannot be sure). I will also estimate that we went from around 70 mph to around 30-40 mph in those 2-3 seconds. There was no obvious external reason for the emergency braking maneuver instigated by the Honda's onboard system. This presented a significant potential hazard. We were very fortunate that there were no vehicles immediately behind us or we would have run a very high risk of rear collision.
