To enter an intersection after stopping, the engine cuts off with a long pause. Very dangerous when entering traffic. This happens most of the time. The annoying engine shut off is disabled. The pause is not always the same length of time. Extremely dangerous in traffic areas, and extremely annoying. I have had Honda Touring since 2005, WHAT a let down on this 2018 Elite. This is going to cause some BAD accidents.

We've had a ton of electrical issues with this car. But this one has been the biggest pain. We have to shut off the Auto Idle every time we get in, bad enough, but if we forget, we can be assured the engine will try to start, kick the car forward a few feet, die, then display an error in the dash about the crash avoidance or auto idle system, and require a restart. It used to only do this if you stopped somewhat quickly, let the engine stop very briefly, and you lifted the brake immediately to go (a common situation by the way). Now it will fail every time!

Today it has taken a new turn. The car died after it had already been stopped for a while and my wife let off the brake, then shifted itself into park. The woman behind almost rear ended her while waving her arms (obviously clearly not a terrific Honda owner who probably would have been aware of the normalcy of these events). We have taken the car to the dealer a hundred times for various issues (door won't close, fuel injectors failed, Christmas lights on the dash (everything failed), etc, etc, etc, just another happy Odyssey owner here). They can never replicate the electrical issues, EVER.

idle stop worked for few days then quit. They felt it was driver error or conditions were not met to operate as stated in manual.
