"Emissions system problem" engine warning light has been on for quite some time. I know there is a service bulletin related to this issue, but my VIN is not covered. There are also several other warning lights that occasionally pop up, and my Honda dealer believes these are all related to the initial warning light. They mentioned that sometimes these systems start shutting down so the vehicle runs properly. Recently I received "transmission system prolem" (in conjunction with the slew of warning lights I have frequently been getting). No apparent issues until recently when I was driving on the interstate. The engine started to become very loud and when I looked at the RPMs it was very high, over 5,000 RPMs. The car wasn't shifting out of first gear at 55MPH. I immediately slowed down and got off the interstate as soon as possible. After arriving home, we unhooked the battery, re-installed, and all of the warning lights were gone. Again, the Honda dealer believes all of these issues were realted to the "emissions system problem", which is part of a service bulletin that should be covered by warranty extension. I beleive my VIN should be included, and the recent transmission system problem which happened on the interstate was very dangerous and could have ended very badly, had I not been in tune with what was happening.

The fuel injectors emaeem to be malfunctioning and the OBD for emissions is lighting up. It has been inspected by the dealer and confirmed it needs to be replaced. The OBD code is P219A and this causes misfire and potential stalling of the vehicle. Honda has issued several TSBs but none have my VIN. Some of the TSBs are TSB A18-025, TSB A21-010 and TSB ONLN9403292021. It has been inspected by Honda dealer and confirmed to be a issue but no action unless I pay them a lot of money. I would like to see if NHTSA can help to add my vin number to the list or help me get Honda to repair my vehicle.

I went to my van, and many alerts were going off on the dash about multiple systems failing and not working. I got the van to the dealer who said it was the fuel injectors that needed replaced. I found a service bulletin about this saying American Honda is extending the warranty on the fuel injection repairs to 10 years from the original date of purchase or 150,000 miles, whichever comes first. The dealer said there was not a recall on my vin and there was nothing they could do and I was forced to pay for the repairs.

Vehicle intermittently loses propulsion during acceleration when merging. Engine RPM remains low despite throttle input. After a delay, transmission re-engages abruptly with a metallic scraping noise. This creates unsafe merging conditions. This happened today, 2/14/2026 in 4 instances in the same trip. It has also occurred approximately 50 other times over the past six months when the mileage was as low as 66,100 miles.

My 2019 Honda Odyssey had an emissions code come up with OBD II sensor code of P219A which led to research revealing that the code was a result of fuel injector failure. I took my van to the dealer who revealed that based on my VIN, I am not eligible for the extended warranty issued by Honda in 2021. This has resulted in a $1900 repair bill that should be covered based on history and problems. ref: [XXX] and [XXX] INFORMATION REDACTED PURSUANT TO THE FREEDOM OF INFORMATION ACT (FOIA), 5 U.S.C. 552(B)(6)

Life-Threatening Acceleration Lag: The vehicle is experiencing severe power loss during critical driving moments, for example, while entering intersections or attempting to re-accelerate into moving traffic. When I attempt to speed up, the engine fails to respond initially, leaving the vehicle stranded in the path of cross-traffic. The engine finally engages only because I am forced to floor the accelerator pedal out of necessity, which then causes the tires to squeal when power eventually returns. Intermittent Starting Issues: The vehicle frequently fails to start smoothly on the first attempt; a known symptom associated with the fuel pump impeller deformation described in Recall 23V-858. VCM Shudder and Hesitation: I am experiencing the distinct vibration and rhythmic shudder associated with the Variable Cylinder Management system. This symptom is most prominent during deceleration or coasting; specifically, when I lift my foot off the accelerator without applying the brakes, the system triggers a noticeable shudder as it incorrectly manages cylinder engagement/deactivation. Suspected Catalytic Failure (Codes P0420/P0430): Both catalytic converters are exhibiting inefficiency codes simultaneously, which are highly atypical and occur well before the expected component lifespan. This clearly points to upstream defects. Specifically, the catalytic substrate has been poisoned by carbon and phosphorus deposits from the documented oil-burning defect and has suffered thermal damage due to the improper fuel mixtures caused by the defective high-pressure fuel pump (Recall 23V-858).

Service engine light has been lit up and it says -??emissions system problem-??. I have had it tested at the shop and it states code P219A (air-fuel ratio variation of cylinder [bank 1, rear bank) which I am told has a warranty extension from Honda for 10 years or 150k miles. I am told my VIN does not quality. If other 2019 Odyssey-??s have the same issue and qualify, why doesn-??t mine? The fuel injectors are clogging and failing way too early for 66k miles. This has been going on for around 6 months Safety concerns - Potential engine failure, reduced performance, and increased emissions

A MIL warning was displayed for Emissions System Problem flaging our vehicle for emissions testing and registration. The vehicle skips and does not accelerate well from 20-30mph making turns into a busy street unsafe. The computer reads a DTC of P219A. All of this matches the description in Honda Service Bulletin 21-010 which says it covers 2019 Odyssey of all trim levels. Local Honda dealer (Auto Nation Honda of Chandler in Chandler, AZ) and Honda America both refuse to extend this warenty to our vehicle for repairs. We took it to a third party Honda mechanic for a second opinion and they recommended we follow up on the Service Bulletin 21-010.

The emissions warning comes on and off, the honda dealer said it's a fuel injection system issue. Noted that NHTSA has issued extended warranty for this issue on 2019 Honday Odysseys but my specific VIN is not included. NHTSA needs to extend this issue to additional VINS having this issue as Honda is not covering it.

While parked on Saturday, 9 different warnings popped up including Fuel Emission Issue and Brake Issue. Tried to restart the car and failed. Came back later with a jump start kit assuming it was battery related. Car started up fine and drove it on the highway for 30 minutes. The 9 warnings were still present. Continued using the car on Sunday on 30 minute highway drive without issue. Monday morning noticed the warnings were gone. Continued use. Around noon the warnings came back and the car refused to start. Used a jump start kit to get the engine started, but it could only go about 10mph. Attempting to push the accelerator further would stutter the car. Managed to get it to a shop where they diagnosed the fuel pump motor had failed. They told me that the part was listed in a recall. I looked up the NHTSA number - 23V858000. However, my VIN was not included in the recall.

My 2019 Honda Odyssey has a check engine light on due to failing fuel injectors. Honda service center told me, the Cost to repair would put you out the door @ $1919.38. My car has fewer than 60,000 miles, for me personally, it's a manufacturing fault. After seeing the check engine light, I didn't drive my car other than take it to the Honda service center.

I am writing to file a formal complaint regarding a premature and dangerous failure of the high-pressure fuel pump in my 2019 Honda Odyssey, VIN [XXX]. This component failure occurred while my wife was travelling from New Jersey to central New York on Saturday, August 9, 2025, leaving our vehicle disabled and creating a significant safety risk and financial burden. I am formally requesting full reimbursement for the repair and towing costs. On that date, while [XXX] was driving our vehicle through Jim Thorpe, PA, the fuel pump failed suddenly and without warning. The "emissions system problem" and "brake system problem" messages appeared on the dashboard, and the engine began "coughing" and "stuttering" before losing all motive power. This is an unacceptable and extreme safety hazard for a vehicle of this age (70,000 miles). [XXX] was forced to have the vehicle towed to our local Honda service center, Burns Honda in Marlton, NJ. Technicians at Burns Honda diagnosed the failure, noting diagnostic trouble code P0087, indicating that the rail fuel pressure was too low. According to their report, they confirmed an internal fault with the high-pressure fuel pump after observing the fuel pressure had plummeted from a normal 3000 PSI to just 70 PSI. The necessary repair was a full replacement of the high-pressure fuel pump with Honda-genuine part kit 06161-RLV-305. While I understand my specific VIN may not currently be under an active recall for this component, my research shows that Honda is acutely aware of systemic issues with fuel pumps across its lineup. Honda has issued massive recalls (e.g., NHTSA Campaign Number 23V-799) for fuel pumps in millions of 2018-2020 models, including the Odyssey, Accord, and CR-V. The symptoms described in these official recalls (a potential for the engine to stall or lose power while driving) are identical to what we experienced. Recently Honda has recalled high-pressure fuel pumps manufactured by Hitachi Astemo. INFORMATION REDACTED PURSUANT TO THE FREEDOM OF INFORMATION ACT (F

While traveling in my 2019 Honda Odyssey (40,000 mile) the vehicle completely shut off and placed itself into neutral. The warning lights for emissions system problem, brake problem, and parking assist problem lit up on the dashboard. The vehicle went into neutral and would not allow me to drive at all. Then the vehicle shut off all within 30 seconds. The vehicle would then not restart and now i have to get the vehicle towed to the Honda Service Department. After looking through other complaints there is a known recall for manufacturer defected fuel injectors for my year model odyssey but does not appear when i search for recalls. This was an insanely dangerous situation here in Oahu where the traffic is very bad. The vehicle gave no warning or check engine light and we have completed every service for the vehicle. The vehicle just randomly completely shut off and would not restart leaving my family of 5 stranded.

Over the last year, recorded 13 incidences where car would not accelerate. (It occurred more times, but I did not record it). I wrote down date, time, weather, gas level, temperature, and what the car would not do. Each incidence was the same - the car would not accelerate, despite pressing down (strongly) on the gas pedal. The car would then jerk forward suddenly. This provided concern and danger as it was often as I was trying to turn off a side road, onto a main road (state highway). This often needs to be done quickly as traffic approaches from both sides. There were a couple of instances when a car was approaching and the vehicle appeared to just stop in the intersection before finally picking up. I have definitely had concerns regarding being hit by oncoming traffic. I brought the vehicle in to Honda to assess in ~May/June 2023. They could not replicate the problem and ended up returning the vehicle without any noted actions. I began taking note of when this occurred starting 6/1/2024, and have 13 recorded incidences.

While accelerating from a complete stop at a red light, immediately after refueling, the vehicle suddenly lost all propulsion power and forced itself into Neutral without any driver input. The dashboard lit up with numerous system warnings at once, including: -??Emissions System Problem -??Brake System Problem -??ABS Problem -??Brake Hold System Problem -??Electric Parking Brake Problem -??Vehicle Stability Assist (VSA) Problem The engine won't start, leaving me stranded in the middle of an active intersection. I attempted to restart the vehicle multiple times with no success. Police responded to the scene, confirmed the vehicle could not be driven, and a tow truck transported it to a nearby Honda dealership. The tow truck driver suspected an alternator failure, but the dealer-??s inspection the next day could not reproduce the issue. They reported that the alternator and battery -??tested fine-?? and that no trouble codes were stored in the ECU. No repairs were performed, and no cause was identified. Safety Concern: This incident created an immediate traffic hazard. The vehicle-??s sudden loss of propulsion in traffic, combined with the inability to restart, could easily have caused a collision. Multiple critical systems were reported as failed simultaneously, indicating a possible electrical, fuel system, or control module failure. I am aware of similar complaints from other 2018-?"2019 Honda Odyssey owners in which sudden power loss occurred, often accompanied by numerous system fault messages. Many reports link these events to fuel pump failures, loose battery/ground connections, or transmission control malfunctions. This suggests a broader pattern of intermittent safety-related defects. Requested Action: Please investigate this incident and similar cases for potential design or component defects.

My 2019 Honda Odyssey is experiencing significant fuel system issues that match the symptoms described in NHTSA Recall 21V-215 (Honda fuel pump recall), but my VIN is not currently included. I-??ve had repeated problems with: -?" Engine stalling -?" Long crank/hard starting -?" Multiple warning lights -?" A diagnostic trouble code: P0087 -?" Fuel Rail/System Pressure Too Low These issues present a serious safety risk-?"the vehicle has stalled during driving, including with children in the car. Honda dealers say my VIN is not eligible for recall, but the symptoms align exactly with recalled vehicles. Not sure if this is the right complaint form, but we attempted to have a service center address 2 recalls on our vehicle and they would not perform them and would not provide a reason why the recalls were not addressed. The service center is AutoNation Honda in Westminster CO [XXX] ). We dropped our vehicle off on 7/24 for an oil change and to address the recalls. They said the work was complete on Monday 7/28 but would not provide an invoice of work completed. I've attempted to contact the service center by text and phone calls and they are not responsive. I contacted corporate Honda and they confirmed that the recalls have not been addressed. INFORMATION REDACTED PURSUANT TO THE FREEDOM OF INFORMATION ACT (FOIA), 5 U.S.C. 552(B)(6)
