The 9 speed transmission in my Honda Odyssey is a piece of junk. The car rides so rough. While trying to accelerate, it will slow down and buck and make a clunk noise. For a brand new minivan, I am very disappointed. I brought it into the dealer and they said that this behavior is normal.
I love the odyssey - it is a great van, has so many awesome features, but this junky transmission makes them all moot. How much longer until this thing fails completely and my wife and kids are broken down on the side of the highway with a 40k minivan that can’t shift?

Transmission keeps clunking and delayed acceleration. Very concerning considering the cost of Trans rebuilds or replacements. It seems like a manufacturing issue. Not enough wear and tear with low miles. There should be a recall or have a solution from Honda. Could be the pressure pump for switching gears.
