Odyssey EX L 3.5L V6

  • Automatic transmission
  • 5,630 miles

I bought brand new 2022, a Honda Odyssey 10/21.

On 6/15 I was driving on highway at 8:30 am in rush hour traffic when the engine slows and van started jerking with the dash lights going crazy (see video).

I put on the hazard lights and prayed I could get to the side of the road.

My dashboard lights scrolled every code it could. I called my husband and AAA. The van was towed to the nearest Honda dealer.

I determined my Engine Wire Harness Stay broke (I organized set of wires, cables, connectors and terminals that controls a vehicle's electrical system) and my battery was bad. Because it a 2022, they had no idea how long to get the part and they had no rental cars. I t was a nightmare over the next 4 days - I called Honda headquarters, no help.

Then I called the head of the dealership. A woman there helped me by getting the part within 2 days and calling the dealership I went to. Everyone said it had to have been a factory mistake this part doesn't break like that.

It's fixed. I was tempted to sell it and get another van but I have to believe they fixed it. I do have a 7 year warranty.
