Engine clicking sound has been increasing; otherwise, my 1995 Honda Passport dx runs well. Two mechanics have suggested the lifter bars are the problem. Others have reported this on other Passports of the same year. These lifters seem to fail in other Passports (www.mycarstats.com/console.asp?TB=R&mmmakes=Honda&mmmodels=Passport&year=1995#reportconsole); repair costs nearly as much as the car is worth! the use of faulty parts that have limited life expectancy was not communicated to consumers.

The engine will not start after shutting down. The engine had been replaced three times.

From my understanding the premature failure of the lifters is quite extensive throughout the us. Why hasn't anything been done about this" shouldn't the manufacturer have to cover the cost of this repair" it set me back $4,100.
