Prior to 1st incident, noticed spongy non-responsive brakes at all speeds. As the problem progressed, the brake pedal would go down to the floor and brake distance increased. On 3 occurrences, I experienced near collisions. I first noticed the problem on June 29th, 2001. Second incident occurred without notice as I was pulling out of a parking lot at approx 8 miles/hr. First, I heard a sound as I was slowing down to approach the signal. Then, the ABS went off for approx. 5 to 10 seconds and during that time, I was not able to stop. I proceeded to turn right at the red signal with no other option available to me at the time. From there, I took the vehicle to Suburban Honda where I originally bought and serviced my Honda Passport. Please note that the ABS indicator light came on the night before the 2nd incident.
