Recall notice for my 2001 Honda Passport for the lower Trailing Link Front Brackets. The frame is rusted from the front to the back of the car. They said it is the worst case they have seen. Honda has approved their recall repair but the service department said it still will not be safe to drive as the frame is wasted. Was told to turn it in to a dealer to see what I could get for it. What? I still have a 2 years left on this loan on this car. How am I going to get to a job with no car and still have to pay on this loan. Have seen many complaints and no good resolutions for many as they are offering very small pay back amounts for these vehicles.Honda says they don't want anyone to drive a unsafe car but they are not standing by their product and doing right by the consumer. Peoples lives are at stake here for everyone who is still driving these cars after their so called fix.

Am so upset. I loved my car. It had everything on it and was fun to drive. When I took it in for "testing", I was called 30 minutes later and told that the test had totalled my vehicle. I was left with no means of transportation, three jobs, children, and no way to get to work. I was not offered enough to buy another car like mine, and still owed on my passport. I also have to maintain full coverage even though I cant drive it.
Honda gave me a rental for a short time, but then demanded the rental back. I had no way to work and live in the country with children to provide for. I made a counter offer which I felt was fair and they turned it down without reading it. They then said that if I did not accept their offer they would ship my condemned and useless car back to me. I cannot find out what my rights are, and feel that I am being bullied
