2021 Passport Sport Model, 37,656 miles. Purchased October 2024. Aug 2025- Check Engine light came on while driving. (Emissions issue lit up), and then also flashed on screen with check engine light AWD problems. After this occurred, we drove it home.
When starting engine again, it was very difficult to start. Rough idle.
Took it to a Honda Dealership, since it is under the 5 years 60,000 mile warranty. They hooked it up to the diagnostic machine which put out codes p219A, and Po172, U0416-F8 ,U0401-68.
They suggested fuel injector replacement. However, Honda is not giving them approval to do the job as a warranty. The PCM Powertrain Control Module should be reset, but obviously, they don't know how to do it. Because they didn't do it. All they wanted to do was change the fuel injectors. But, there's a reason the fuel injectors aren't working. I've read other technical service bulletins on newer Passports, and other models from different years addressing this problem, unfortunately, the 2021 passport isn't addressing the issues!
Already placed complaint with NHTSA online. Have not heard anything back yet. I may place another.....
HELP. My car has been sitting in my garage for over 2 weeks now, as it isn't really good to keep driving it.
Thank goodness we have 1 other car we can use. It's a 2013. Much more reliable than my 2021.
