The contact owns a 2016 Honda Pilot. While driving approximately 25 mph, a loud explosion suddenly occurred and the passenger side exterior mirror dislodged from the mirror assembly. The contact stated that the mirror assembly detached from the vehicle. During the failure, the vehicle had not made contact with anything to cause damage to the vehicle. The cause of the failure was not determined. The manufacturer and local dealer were not notified of the failure. The failure mileage was 35,000. The VIN was unknown.
