The White Diamond Pearl paint on my 2019 Honda Pilot has begun peeling prematurely, exposing the gray primer underneath. The vehicle has been properly maintained and has not been damaged or repainted. This appears to be a paint adhesion failure rather than normal wear.

The peeling paint is extremely concerning on a vehicle of this age and significantly affects both the appearance and resale value of the vehicle. This paint color has a documented history of failure on Honda vehicles, and Honda previously issued warranty extensions for earlier models with White Diamond Pearl paint due to similar peeling and delamination issues.

I contacted American Honda Motor Company requesting assistance because this appears to be the same known defect. However, my goodwill repair request was denied.

Paint on a 2019 vehicle should not be peeling under normal conditions. Based on the pattern of similar complaints from other owners, this appears to be a manufacturing defect affecting vehicles painted with White Diamond Pearl. I am submitting this complaint so that the issue is documented and other owners experiencing the same problem can be aware.
