The front axles in my 2024 Honda prologue touring model four-wheel drive I have been clicking and making noises even before 1,000 miles. I have spoken to the dealer several times and Honda as well two times. I do not know if this is dangerous but it seems dangerous to me. I am used to driving older vehicles that I maintain to almost new standards. I am honestly more nervous about driving this car at highway speeds than my 2006 BMW 330 I with 155,000 mi. I have been told that there is no fix for the situation at this point. I purchased a Honda the second brand new one in one year believing this was a great company that would stand by their product. My other vehicle is a 2024 Honda CRV touring model hybrid. I completely love this vehicle. I am now believing that they are not such a great company and they have made a mistake with this vehicle. I realize that this is not made by Honda but it is sold by Honda and they should not be so negligent in dealing with these issues. It is all over the internet that this car has problems and it seems that no one is dealing with it. Can you please help! Thank you for your help in this matter. When turning left or right, the vehicle produces a distinct clicking sound from the front drivetrain or steering area. This issue was first noticed on January 22, 2025 and has continued to occur since that time. I have reported the problem to the dealership on multiple occasions; however, the concern is no longer being documented on my service receipts despite my attempts to have it addressed. The persistent clicking noise raises concern about a possible defect involving the axle, CV joint, steering components, or the electric drivetrain system. If a related component were to fail while the vehicle is in motion, it could result in loss of propulsion, steering impairment, or sudden mechanical failure during a turn, increasing the risk of a crash. The dealership has indicated that the manufacturer is aware of the issue but has not yet provided a repair remedy or guidance to the service center, leaving the vehicle operating with a potentially unresolved mechanical defect.

problem #214

The issue appears to involve the steering, front axle or front drivetrain assembly. When turning the steering wheel, particularly at low speeds such as during parking maneuvers or tight turns, there is a distinct clicking or popping sound coming from the front axle area both left and right side The noise is mechanical in nature and occurs repeatedly when the steering angle increases. This behavior suggests a possible issue with the front axle shaft, (CV) joint, or related drivetrain components. The vehicle is available for inspection upon request. A clicking or popping sound from the front axle during turning can be an early indicator of drivetrain component wear or failure, particularly involving CV joints or axle shafts. If a front axle or joint were to fail while the vehicle is in motion, it could result in sudden loss of propulsion to the wheel or compromised control during turning. Because this noise occurs during routine driving maneuvers, it raises concern that a critical drivetrain component may be prematurely failing. A failure during a turn, intersection maneuver, or while entering traffic could create a hazardous situation for the driver and surrounding vehicles. I-??m concerned because I had a similar issue with a 1994 Honda Accord; the CV boots were bad and there was a risk (I was told) that the front suspension could collapse while driving especially on highway. The condition is easily reproducible during low-speed turning and parking maneuvers and occurs consistently when the steering wheel is turned to moderate or higher angles. At this time the vehicle has not yet undergone a full diagnostic evaluation by a dealer, but the symptom is repeatable under normal driving conditions. It was noted on test drive upon purchase. Salesperson dismissed it was part of -??regenerative braking.-?? It did undergo multipoint inspection as part of CPO process prior to purchase. It was "cleared" for CPO and purchase.

Loud clunking noise from front end when turning right or left and accelerating from a stop or slow speed. I-??ve been told by dealer that this is from defective front CV axles. I-??ve also been told that this could be a safety issue if the component fails completely. Both General Motors and Honda are aware of the issue.

When turning left (only) and accelerating, there is a distinct "clicking" noise and shudder coming from the front left undercarriage. It can be felt through the steering wheel. I believe it is coming from the CV joint and could lead to failure of that link and loss of steering control.

The front axle makes a grinding and click sound whenever you're turning. Dealership replaced the part but then the new one just broke as well. Now Honda is refusing to replace again as they supposedly work on a fix that has been well over a year in the making now. Separate problem with the adaptive cruise control. It randomly slams on the brakes on the highway. Dealership agreed they experienced it but nothing they could do and I would just have to wait for a software update and hope it fixes the problem.
