I have a brand new Honda Prologue Elite that, within 500 miles of leasing it, has a loud knocking noise on both the front left and front right sides whenever I make a hard left or right turn. It sounds like a loud knocking/creaking noise and I usually hear it three times during a turn. It can be heard over a moderate volume radio. The sound has been replicated by a service technician at the dealership, who thought they corrected it (found a loose bolt under the panel under the passenger seat!) but they did not fix the actual problem and it continues. The sound remains and seems to be getting louder. I am increasingly concerned about what happens if the noise continues to get louder and the part(s) eventually fails - and where the car will go if that happens. This has happened on repeat occasions from 30-55 mph (though usually starting from a stop, like being at a light waiting for my chance to turn left).

Tire pressure monitor sensor will not stay off. Car has been taken back to the dealer several times and they are unable to keep it off. Was told by the dealer service manager that "it's just a light" and that I "should be ok." Called Honda and submit a ticket for them to handle it with the dealership but the both of them are unable to get it resolved.

Component/System Failure: The issue involves a clicking noise coming from the front of the vehicle whenever I turn the steering wheel to the left or right. Based on my observations, I suspect that the noise is coming from the axle, particularly one of the CV joints. The clicking noise is noticeable at low and moderate speeds, and it occurs consistently every time I turn the vehicle. Safety Risk: If the issue is indeed related to a malfunctioning CV joint, this could potentially pose a significant safety risk. If the CV joint were to fracture or break while driving, it could result in a loss of control of the vehicle, leading to an accident. While the noise itself is not an immediate hazard, the possibility of a sudden failure of the axle or CV joint is concerning, as it could impair my ability to control the vehicle and could potentially cause a serious crash. Reproduction/Confirmation by Dealer or Service Center: The problem has not yet been inspected by a dealer or independent service center. However, the clicking noise can be reproduced consistently every time I turn the car, whether turning left or right. Given the regularity of the noise, I believe this issue is likely to continue and should be addressed. Inspection by Manufacturer, Police, Insurance, or Others: At this time, the issue has not been inspected by the manufacturer, police, or insurance representatives. Since the noise has only recently started and has been persistent, I have not yet taken the car to the dealership for an inspection, but I intend to do so soon. Warning Lamps or Messages: There have been no warning lamps, messages, or alerts shown on the dashboard related to this issue. The vehicle continues to function normally aside from the clicking noise when turning. No other symptoms or mechanical issues have been noticed. When It First Appeared: The clicking noise first appeared around 1000 miles ago. As of now, the vehicle has accumulated approximately 5000 miles.

Honda Prologue with less than 5000 miles has begun experiencing a clicking sound when accelerating from a stop while turning left or right. Issue is consistent and reproducible. No warning lamps. Dealer confirms this is a bad CV axel that needs to be replaced. Parts are on back order from the manufacturer for at least three months. This is a known issue with 2024 Honda Prologue models. An internet search for -??Honda Prologue clicking sound while turning-?? brings up dozens of results with several hundred people exposing the same issue. r/Hondaprologue on Reddit, The Official Honda Prologue Page on Facebook, [XXX] Internet forum, and several others all report the same issue with the same responses from dealers. It-??s been mixed whether or not it-??s safe to drive on but typically a bad CV axel requires an immediate repair to ensure safety, as the component could fail at excessive speeds on the freeway. Critical Safety Issue: Vehicle exhibits severe steering stability defects creating immediate safety hazards: 1. Continuous side-to-side oscillation occurs while maintaining straight-line travel, even with steering wheel held firmly in position. Vehicle "snakes" within lane without driver input, making it dangerous during lane changes and blind spot checks. 2. Lane Keeping Assist System (LKAS) malfunctions due to steering offset: - System overcompensates with excessive left steering correction - Creates dangerous oversteering situation - Had to disable LKAS for safety - Demonstrates underlying steering system defect 3. Additional steering abnormalities: - Strong rightward pull during acceleration - Excessive resistance during left turns at highway speeds - Asymmetrical handling between left/right turns - Issues persist with LKAS disabled Safety Implications: - Cannot maintain steady lane position - Constant steering corrections required - High risk during emergency maneuvers - Loss of critical LKAS safety feature - Particularly dangerous at highway speeds - Driver distraction during blind spot checks while managing unstable steering Dealer Response: - Multiple visits without resolution - Over one week in shop - Claims behavior is normal - Dismisses safety concerns Issue is consistent and reproducible across different road conditions. Problem absent in other vehicles including rental car during service period. Video documentation available. Request investigation of: - Steering system components - Suspension geometry - Alignment specifications - LKAS system integration - Power steering system This safety defect creates unacceptable risk of accidents, particularly during emergency maneuvers or when changing lanes. Issue present since delivery and remains unresolved despite multiple repair attempts.
