I purchased a 2006 Honda Ridgeline in June 2006 with 17,000 miles with extended warranty. The following summer in 2008 my air conditioner didn't work, no cold air. So I took it to the dealership and they said it was a hose leak and not covered under warranty. So I paid two hundred something dollars to have it fixed. The following summer of 2009 my ac didn't work again, no cold air, so I took it to a local mechanic thinking the ac had to be recharged, the mechanic couldn't figure it out and said bring it to the dealership and I did. The dealership did a diagnostic on it which cost me $175 just for a diagnostic, and said the problem is the clutch inside the condenser and that it will cost around $1,000 to fix it. I also just received a recall notice from Honda on April 26, 2010 about the blower motor harness, which I have already taken care of today May 4, 2010 at a dealership and was hoping that this recall would make my ac work, but it still doesn't work. I strongly believe this is a defect on the truck and cannot afford to keep paying to get my ac fixed every summer. Thank you for your time on this matter. I would appreciate any suggestions.
