Have 2007 Ridgeline with only 77,000 miles. Broke down a couple of days ago. Not sure of extent of problem yet. Do know timing belt and water pump messed up as well as head gasket. Possibly need new engine! I've always had Hondas (4th one)...due to quality. This should not be happening. Out of warranty. Would Honda step up and do anything for me if I caleed the national consumer number??

I have a 2007 RTL with 103K miles. It has never overheated, oil changes were always done when the truck says it's time. Only ever towed a small tent trailer, or a small utility trailer to the dump.
I was a little late with my 90k service. Before I could get it in, it started with the blue/white smoke on start, then eventually started running rough. I took it in while I was out of town on business. I get back to a $1600 bill since the timing belt was due and the brake pads were cracked. But within a week, it was still smoking and started running rough again.
I took it in to the dealership to investigate and they replaced 2 burnt valves and found 100% leakage on #4 cylinder. New seals, gaskets, plugs, coolant, oil and another $1800. When I picked it up, they said the technician noticed a small amount of smoke, so it could either be burning a bit, or it could could be residual from the work. After a week, the smoke is getting worse again, so I guess I'm looking at a full rebuild or replacement engine. What really ticks me off is I bought it as a certified used (with only 6k miles in Feb '07) but had a 100K mile warranty. This happened at 103K! But there has to be a flaw that under the right conditions the same valves and cylinders are having issues. I have always sworn by Honda, and absolutely love my Ridgeline, but I'm very disappointed!
