Never had a window crack due to defrosting. Found out all Honda Ridgeline have auto heaters built into the windshield edge. Solution is cover during ice storms and lower my deductible insurance on comprehensive only from $500 to $150. Never leave your defroster on full too long. It still should of never cracked all the way across the bottom. Lessons learned.
