About These NHTSA Complaints:
The NHTSA is the US gov't agency tasked with vehicle safety. Complaints can be spread across multiple & redundant categories, & are not organized by problem. See the Back button — blue bar at the very top of the page — to explore more.
One day I was using the A/C and everything was fine. After my work shift I tried to kick on the A/C system and nothing happens. The screen indicates that everything is working, however, even with the fan dial on full. Nothing is flowing through the vents. I had the Honda dealership take a look and they told me the harness was fried and that it would be $900 to fix it, when my car payment is $600. They also told me that this was a common issue in 2006 and 2007 models and recalls have been issued for both years. I asked them why has the problem not been fixed before the 2008 models were released. They told me to ask Honda... this is a complete and utter disappointment. How does a known problem in previous models not been fixed before the release of future models and why hasn't Honda taken time to recall the trucks or offer a free fix.
