After reading about this issue I know it's common, however it just happened to me. My backup camera in my 2017 Honda Ridgeline is now black - and sure enough if you open the tailgate you can see exposed wires where there should be black conduit covering them. I am pretty bummed because this is a car I have had about 18 months. I'm sure they will tell me I need a new harness and it will cost me a bundle to fix. Now I am worried that it will just break again after reading all the other complaints about this issue. I want to be part of the law suit for this issue, but I'm not sure how to get on that train.

Rear camera stopped working. Took it to the dealer and they said that the camera was working fine but the rear wiring harness for the camera where it goes thru the tailgate to the camera had failed. Dealer said cost to fix was $700.00 +. Checked online on a Honda Ridgeline forum and saw that a number of others had experienced the same problem. Would like to see a recall on this.
