I own a 2005 Hummer H2 and a problem developed with the windshield wipers. They will work intermittently and at times continuously also the washer pump runs continually. Dealer said corrosion caused the problem.the only way to stop the wipers and pump is to remove one of the fuses. The dealer said to fix the problem would cost approximately $250-$300. This problem started slowly and progressed to be a constant issue. I noticed that on the NHTSA website that the 2003 Hummer a similar problem resulted in a recall of over 13000 vehicles are other H2 owners having this problem.

Visibility and wiper motor control, and windshield washer control my 2005 has just started showing a known defect that resulted in the recall of 2003-2004, 2006-2008 Hummer H2. The wipers will come-on automatically even in the off position, windshield wash front and rear operate in the off position and won't stop. All wipers and windshield wash will operate and then stop completely or turn to intermittent operation neither of which can be controlled by the driver. This started during a snowstorm in Washington DC and almost caused me to crash into the back of 18 wheeler on I95.

I own a 2005 Hummer H2. The problem is that both front and back windshield wipers come on by themselves without turning the controls on. It has drained the windshield wiper fluid resevoir down to nothing. They come on if it is raining or not raining. As you can see this presents a hazard if you can not see the road when the fluid is going on the windshield and the wipers coming on when they want to.
