The contact owns a 2006 Hummer H3. While driving 60 mph, the louver in the center of the hood shattered into pieces, striking the windshield and the top of the vehicle. The contact was able to maneuver to the side of the road. The vehicle was taken to the dealer (hoffpauir Ford, 902 N key ave, lampasas, tx 76550, (800) 460-4171) where it was diagnosed that the louver needed to be replaced. The vehicle was repaired, but the failure recurred. The vehicle was taken to a second dealer (honolulu Buick GMC Cadillac, 2945 N nimitz hwy, honolulu, hi 96819, (808) 800-4338), but was not diagnosed or repaired. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 169,000.

The contact owns a 2006 Hummer H3. The contact stated that the vehicle did not blow hot or cold air. In addition, the black hood louver detached from the vehicle. The failures occurred without warning. Prior to the hood louver failure, the vehicle was remedied under NHTSA campaign number: 10V179000(structure). The contact received notification of NHTSA campaign number: 15V421000 (visibility); however, the part to do the repair was unavailable. The contact stated that the manufacturer exceeded a reasonable amount of time for the recall repair. The manufacturer was made aware of the issue. The failure mileage was approximately 184,000. VIN tool confirms parts not available.

The contact owns a 2006 Hummer H3. The contact was driving at an unknown speed when the accessory light bar fractured from the vehicle. The vehicle was taken to an authorized dealer where the dealer discovered that the adhesive that held the accessory bar was defective. The contact was able to locate a recall for the failure (NHTSA campaign id number: 10V179000-structure: Body: Hood) but was advised by the dealer that he would only apply an adhesive to the hood louver, as instructed in the recall, and nothing more. The manufacturer would not provide any further assistance. The failure mileage was approximately 115,000 and the approximate current mileage was 130,000.

The contact owns a 2006 Hummer H3. The contact stated that the hood grill completely detached from the vehicle while driving at approximately 60-65 mph. A week later, he received a recall notice for recall 10V179000 (structure:body:hood). When he called the manufacturer, he was told that they would not replace the hood grill but would glue the hood louver back on. The contact did not feel that the repair was a sufficient fix. The vehicle had not been repaired at the time of the complaint. The current mileage was approximately 119,000. The failure mileage was approximately 118,000.
