The failures occurred without warning. Prior to the hood louver failure, the vehicle was remedied under NHTSA campaign number: 10V179000(structure). The contact received notification of NHTSA campaign number: 15V421000 (visibility); however, the part to do the repair was unavailable. The contact stated that the manufacturer exceeded a reasonable amount of time for the recall repair. The manufacturer was made aware of the issue. The failure mileage was approximately 184,000. The vehicle was taken to an authorized dealer where the dealer discovered that the adhesive that held the accessory bar was defective. The contact was able to locate a recall for the failure (NHTSA campaign id number: 10V179000-structure: Body: Hood) but was advised by the dealer that he would only apply an adhesive to the hood louver, as instructed in the recall, and nothing more. The manufacturer would not provide any further assistance. The failure mileage was approximately 115,000 and the approximate current mileage was 130,000.
