We took the car in to our mechanic b/c we could not get it out of 4w drive. The car went into 4w drive on its own. All lights indicated it was in the normal driving gear. We were told the transfer case was defective and needed to be replaced. Can only get a rebuilt one at the cost of $2200. Car will be at the shop for 3 days if the part can be shipped overnight. Can't believe this can happen on a car that is hardly ever used for off roading with mileage that is under the average. Any one heard of any quiet recalls. GM is no help. Thanks for listening
