The vehicle caught fire. The fire department extinguished the fire. A police report was not filed. The vehicle was destroyed. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The approximate failure mileage was 140,000.

The contact owns a 2007 Hummer H3. While driving at approximately 40 mph, the contact turned on the air conditioner and heard an abnormal noise and smelled a burning odor. The contact stated that this was a recurring failure. The vehicle was taken to the dealer for diagnostic testing. The technician stated that the sensor on the computer under the dashboard needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure.
