The air conditioner failed. The vehicle was taken to the dealer where it was diagnosed that the lower resistor and wiring harness failed, melted together, and needed to be replaced. The vehicle was repaired. The contact received notification of NHTSA campaign number: 15V421000 (visibility), however, the part to do the repair was unavailable. The contact stated that the manufacturer exceeded a reasonable amount of time for the recall repair. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure. The approximate failure mileage was 82,926.
